A paddle sold with stand-up paddle boards has been recalled by Agit Global North America after incidents of the paddle breaking and causing puncture/laceration wounds. The paddles were sold at Costco, Home Depot, REI, Amazon, Walmart.com, Sam’s Club and at other small surf/sporting goods stores nationwide, as well as online at https://shop.agit-global.com/ from January 2015 through December 2020.
The paddles were sold with stand-up paddle boards. The recalled products include:

• 2016 9’6” Wave Storm, manufacturing code I5, A6
• 2017 9’6” Wave Storm, manufacturing code I6, L6, A7
• 2018 9’6” Wave Storm, manufacturing code I7, K7
• 2018 9’6” Rock-It-Surf, manufacturing code, L8
• 2018 8’ True Wave, manufacturing code E8

Agit Global received 19 reports of the paddle breaking while being used, several of which included reports of leg punctures or laceration injuries. Consumers should immediately stop using the product and contact Agit Global North America for a free paddle shaft sleeve that can be installed over the paddle shaft when the paddle is used. The shaft sleeve is used to protect against injuries.
