On May 31, 2017, SUGARMAN attorneys once again laced up their running shoes to participate in the 10th Annual Lawyers Have Heart 5k Road Race to benefit the American Heart and Stroke Association. More than 1,800 participants from over 100 law firms, associations and companies helped raise funds and awareness for heart disease and stroke research.
On race day, team SUGARMAN & SHAPIRO was ranked 15th out of over 100 fundraising teams. SUGARMAN Partner, Stacey L. Pietrowicz, was one of only 27 participants named an “Honorable Fundraiser,” a designation for those who individually raised over $1,000. More than $290,000 has been raised from all teams and individual race participants to benefit the American Heart and Stroke Association.
All 13 SUGARMAN and Shapiro & Associates team members completed the 3.1 miles that began at the Blue Hills Bank Pavilion on Northern Avenue in Boston.
