SUGARMAN The Personal Injury Law Firm

Supporting Our Community

The courthouse isn't the only place we help others.

Building Community,
Improving Lives

Throughout our firm's rich history, SUGARMAN has been involved in many charitable, civic and community-based organizations that address a specific problem, improve the quality of life for children and families and seek social justice for individuals who have been unfairly treated. Our attorneys feel it is just one small way that we can give back to the community.

Below are several of the organizations SUGARMAN has supported over the past 50 years.
We encourage you to support them if you can:

SUGARMAN Supports Lawyers Have Heart and the American Heart Association

Once again, SUGARMAN partners and staff participated in the Annual Lawyers Have Heart 5K Boston Road Race and Summer Celebration to support the American Heart Association’s mission to fight heart disease and stroke, the No. 1 and No. 5 killers of Americans.

The SUGARMAN Team joined over 1,000 participants, representing 100 law firms, associations and companies for this fundraising event.  The combined teams raised over $500,000 this year to benefit heart disease and stroke research, as well as raising the awareness of cardiac diseases.

The efforts of the 12 SUGARMAN team members, led by SUGARMAN Partner and team captain Stacey Pietrowicz, resulted in a fundraising rank of 20 out of 100 teams.  Ten team members then completed the 3.1 miles route around the Marine Industrial Park in the Seaport, Boston.

Community Service at The Harrington House This Holiday Season

This holiday season, SUGARMAN continues its support for The Harrington House, a residential home for children run by The Home for Little Wanderers.

Partner Marianne LeBlanc recently presented a check from the firm to Jenn Medeiros and Garth Goudelock, who run The Harrington House. The funds will cover the cost of fulfilling a holiday wish list for all fourteen children living in the home.

SUGARMAN has routinely supported The Harrington House over the years. Most recently, the firm closed for a day so that employees could participate in an annual day of service. They were able to create an Arts & Crafts room, and decorate and supply two "quiet rooms" where the older children can study. They also cleared and cleaned up an unused and overgrown adjacent yard to provide the children with more outdoor play area. In the past, the SUGARMAN staff has painted and refreshed rooms at The Harrington House, donated and assembled furniture and sports equipment and installed a barbecue grill.

SUGARMAN maintains its commitment to the community through service efforts and donations such as this one.

Community Service at The Harrington House

Once again this year, SUGARMAN closed the firm for a day to participate in an annual day of service at The Harrington House, a residential home run by The Home for Little Wanderers.

Projects needed this year and completed by the firm included the creation of an Arts and Crafts room for the children, as well as providing all that was needed for the children to create and display their art work. Two "quiet rooms" for the older children were also decorated and installed with furniture so that they could have a quiet place to read and study,

In addition, the firm members and staff worked tirelessly to clear and clean up an unused and overgrown yard. The children of The Home now have an additional outdoor play area at The Harrington House.

At the end of a very productive day, the partners and staff hosted a barbecue and spent the afternoon playing basketball, softball and other outdoor activities with the children.
