SUGARMAN is pleased to announce that seven of the firm’s attorneys have been selected as Super Lawyers. This elite group of only five percent of top lawyers in the country from over seventy practices is selected through a patented process that includes independent research, peer nominations and peer evaluations. The SUGARMAN attorneys who attained this noted recognition and professional achievement are Marianne C. LeBlanc, David McCormack, Stacey Pietrowicz, Neil Sugarman, Paul R. Sugarman, Stephen K. Sugarman and Benjamin Zimmermann.

In addition to being named to the Super Lawyers list, a number of SUGARMAN attorneys received further recognition:

Top 10 Super Lawyers in Massachusetts: Neil Sugarman

Top 100 Super Lawyers in Massachusetts:  Neil Sugarman, Marianne LeBlanc, Benjamin Zimmermann

Top 50 Female Super Lawyers in Massachusetts:  Marianne LeBlanc

Top 100 Super Lawyers in New England:  Neil Sugarman and Marianne LeBlanc

Top 50 Female Super Lawyers in New England:  Marianne LeBlanc

In order to achieve the honor of Super Lawyer status, which many SUGARMAN attorneys have earned annually, they must attain high marks throughout the four-step vetting process. First, they must be nominated by a peer or third party, then independent research is conducted during which each candidate is evaluated on 12 indicators of peer recognition and professional achievement. Following a peer evaluation stage, the final selection is made and five percent of the nominees are deemed Super Lawyers.

The objective in this process is to create a credible, comprehensive and diverse listing of outstanding attorneys that can be used as a resource for attorneys and consumers searching for legal counsel, so lawyer ratings are limited to those who can be hired and retained by the public.
