Marianne LeBlanc, principal at Sugarman and Sugarman, P.C., has been installed as Secretary for the Massachusetts Chapter of the American Board of Trial Advocates (ABOTA).  As Secretary, Attorney LeBlanc will serve a one-year term.

Attorney LeBlanc was appointed as a fellow of the American Board of Trial Advocates in 2010.  Membership in ABOTA requires a great depth of experience in trying civil cases to jury verdict, with only approximately 81 fellows appointed in Massachusetts.

Founded over 50 years ago, the primary purpose of ABOTA is the preservation of the right to trial by jury.  The general purposes of this Association shall be to foster improvement in the ethical and technical standards of practice in the field of advocacy to the end that individual litigants may receive more effective representation and the general public be benefited by more efficient administration of justice consistent with time-tested and traditional principles of litigation.
