Almost 20,000 Johnson Health Tech Matrix T1 and T3 commercial treadmills have been recalled due to fire hazards. The treadmills have a straight power cord but are missing a power cord bracket. Because there is no power cord bracket, the cord can become loose from the socket, and can cause fires.

There were about 58 reports of power cord and socket sparking, smoking, and/or melting. Seven of these reports included fires. Of these seven, two included property damage.

The recalled products are within the following serial number ranges:

  • TM5141006##### through TM5141101#####
  • TM5221105##### through TM5221801#####
  • TM5231006##### through TM5231801#####
  • TM5261412##### through TM5261801#####
