Several Dr. Reddy’s medications were recalled due to unsafe packaging. The Consumer Product Safety Commission issued the recall. Because the packaging is not child resistant, it could lead to poisoning. The recalled drugs treat nerve pain, and side effects of kidney disease and cancer drugs. All are prescription-only.

If your child gets sick because of the packaging, you may have a legal claim.

Drug product liability can be difficult to determine. This complicates cases of injury due to prescription drugs.

There are three main forms of drug liability cases:

(1) Claims can be made because of defective drugs;

(2) Drugs with dangerous side effects can lead to a wrongful injury case; and

(3) Drugs marketed incorrectly could be cause for liability.

Experienced personal injury attorneys can determine if you have a product liability or injury case. If you or a loved one has been harmed by a medication, you should contact a personal injury lawyer.
