Sugarman’s practice includes the many different types of cases that fall under the general heading of premises liability; the liability of landowners for injuries occurring on their property. These cases encompass claims against landlords for injuries to tenants, their families and guests; claims for injuries or death due to fires and explosions; and claims resulting from injuries sustained in stores and other business premises. We also prosecute claims as diverse as those involving dog bites and other animal-caused injuries, injuries to children resulting from the negligence of summer camps, and elevator and escalator injuries. The firm represents workers injured by premises defects on job sites, store and business customers who fell or are otherwise injured by dangerous conditions, and tenants injured either in the rented space or common areas.
