SUGARMAN is extremely pleased to announce that Rosa G. Mazzeo, an associate with the firm since 2017 has been named by Massachusetts Lawyers Weekly as an Up and Coming Lawyer. Massachusetts Lawyers Weekly will honor attorneys who have been practicing and admitted in the Mass Bar for 10 years or less, yet have already distinguished themselves in the practice of law. Attorney Mazzeo will be honored on April 30, 2020 at Massachusetts Lawyers Weekly’s Excellence in the Law Awards.
Rosa is well deserving of this honor - she joined SUGARMAN as a full-time paralegal in 2014, graduated from the evening session at Suffolk University Law School in 2016 and following admission to the bar in 2017, began her career as an attorney with SUGARMAN.
In addition to providing excellent legal representation to clients in a wide variety of complex personal injury cases, Rosa also dedicates herself tirelessly to the community in her free time. As a fluent Spanish speaker, she is an advocate for the Latinx community, belonging to both the Hispanic National Bar and the Chica Program. In 2018, Rosa joined The Dilley Pro Bono Project and travelled to Texas where she provided legal advice to mothers detained at the border with their children.
The firm is proud of Rosa’s accomplishments and looks forward to her recognition at the upcoming Massachusetts Lawyers Weekly reception for Up and Coming Lawyers.
