Liquor Server's Liability

Christopher v. Father’s Huddle Cafe, Inc. et al., 57 Mass. App. Ct. 217 (2003)  Verdict, including punitive damages, against the bar and its management company for failure to provide adequate security, resulting in the off-premises death of a patron. The verdict was upheld on appeal.

Dimond v. Sacilotto, 353 Mass. 501 (1968)  Liquor liability case against bar serving alcohol to minor.

Liquor liability against Chinese restaurant  Settlement for multiple fractures. Chinese restaurant served 5-6 "Naked Barbies" to patron who crashed SUV into 18-year-old plaintiff's car.

Liquor liability causes death of father of unborn child  Settlement with driver and bar where driver had been drinking.

Liquor server's liability  Settlement against bar that over-served patron to intoxication who drove a short distance from bar and collided with plaintiff's car. Drunken patron had .27 BAC.
