Sexual and Physical Assault
Sugarman attorneys represent persons injured as a result of sexual and physical assaults. The firm has prosecuted claims against bars, taverns, and other liquor servers whose over-service of alcohol led to a sexual or physical assault. We have also represented children, the elderly and disabled persons who suffered a sexual or physical assault by caretakers. These claims have included claims against school bus operators, day care centers and nursing homes. Our clients in this practice area also include patients who have been sexually assaulted by their health care providers. The firm pursues these claims both against legally responsible third parties (such as employers of bus operators or caretakers) and, in appropriate cases against the perpetrators of the sexual or physical assault.
