Boston – Stephen K. Sugarman, principal at SUGARMAN, presented at MCLE’s recent program: Insurers, Insured & Their Lawyers. Attorney Sugarman, along with several other faculty members, shared knowledge and perspectives on the relationship among insurers, insured and their lawyers. Attorney Sugarman discussed the plaintiffs’ perspective including duties an insurer owes to a claimant, duties an insurer owes to an insured and the role of General Laws, c.93A. The panel also presented practical advice on counseling clients and how the Rules of Professional Conduct apply in this complex relationship.
